I stayed on the hamster wheel until I was 66. No regrets. But knowing what I know today, I would have planned my exit strategy when I turned 50.

The job landscape has changed in just the last few years. And it's not going back to where it once was. Have a Plan B, and turn it into your Plan A as soon as possible. These companies do not care about you.

Love this! I will be 59 in a few weeks and am anxious about my future. I’m looking for ways to create an income to support myself.

Your feelings are entirely natural. The best way to fight anxiety is through action, and you're in a perfect place. Start where you are and use your skills to help others. Begin with auditing your assets. This is a whole masterclass. I'm so glad that I figured out how to monetize my experience. Keep sharing your knowledge so many of us need it.

I'm so curious about your story and how you came to the knowledge you share. Do you have a post about it?

Thanks a lot, Gail. I'm on a mission, so you'll see more posts.

My background is in science, but after doing PhD in Animal Cytogenetics, I moved to London to follow my passion for fashion and beauty. I have been working internationally and sharing my experiences on my blogs. That consequently led me to the digital economy, marketing, and making money online. Seeing what was happening in the world during COVID-19 made me realize that we live in a different world, and there's no going back, at least for me.

I started treating online writing seriously in my 50s, eventually quitting my last 9-5. Now, I share my lessons with others.

Substak is a great place to connect with fascinating and inspiring people like yourself. I'm glad I found you here.

I don’t know anyone willing to pay money to learn to crochet, for example.
