This is such an encouraging post. It's a strange thing that people over 50 sometimes need reminders that their valuable experience and incredible journeys give value and depth to their writing. The doubt is too quick to creep in.

You are right. People don't even realize the value of their experience and knowledge. And because society is so obsessed with youth, people over 50 often doubt themselves and that they have so much to share and give. I appreciate your comment, Terje.

Thanks for conducting this excellent interview, Jerry. I liked your questions and his answers. We haven't met yet, but I will explore your stories. As I have known Dr Yildiz personally for decades living in the same country, your points resonated well with me. I see him as a superhuman and tease him as metal head affectionately as his late father used to do. As I am one of those in your target age group, your questions were relatable to me. Nice to meet you and I look forward to learning from your insights. All the best!

Hey, Jerry. This great interview with a wonderful influence of mine, Dr. Yildiz, and many others only inspires me to work on improving my own relatively new writing skills. It is never too late to learn more and my body being 84, I am grateful for this. Great job, Jerry!

G'day Jerry, this is a fascinating interview. Dr Yildiz is a wonderful mentor who opened the path for me on Medium and Substack. He is very talented and he reflected it in his new book Substack Mastery. Now, I am a beta reader for his advanced Substack Newsletter Mastery book and learn a lot daily. Thanks you for creating this valuable resource for the community. I am not 50 yet but I will share it with my friends in that age group. At least my parents and older relatives will love it. I am trying to bring them all to Substack 🤠
